Decreased slaughterings of pigs in January-April 2009

Slaughterings of pigs decreased with 4.0 % during January-April 2009 compared to the same period in 2008 and slaughterings of cattle increased with 12.0 % during the same period.

The quantity of milk delevered to dairies increased with 1.2 % and production of drinking milk decreased with 3.8 % during January-April 2009. Production of cream increased with 3.5 % and production of cheese decreased with 2.6 % during the same period.
