Increased slaughterings of pigs in January - February 2008

Slaughterings of pigs increased with 7,5 % during January - February 2008 compared to the same period in 2007 and slaughterings of cattle decreased with 3,0 % during the same period.

The quantity of milk delevered to dairies decreased with 4,7 % and production of drinking milk with 1,3 % compared with the year before. Production of milk powder decreased with 20,2 % and production of butter with 9,5 % compared with the same period.
