Decreased slaughterings of cattle in February 2004

The slaughterings of cattle amounted to 21 200 metric tons in January - February 2004, a decrease by 12,0 % compared to the same period 2003. The slaughterings of pigs decreased by 0,6 % during the same period.

The quantity of milk delivered to dairies in January - February 2004 increased by 3,3 % compared to previous year.

The quantity of eggs delivered to wholesalers increased preliminary by 9,5 % during the same period.
