Increased slaughterings of cattle in January 2007

Slaughterings of cattle inreased with 14,0 % and slaughterings of pigs with 7,2 % during January 2007 compared to January 2006.

The quantity of milk delivered to dairies decreased with 0,7 % and production of drinking milk increased with 1,2 % during January 2007 compared to the same period in 2006. Production of milk powder increased with 13,5 % and production of cheese decreased with 10,4 % compared with the year before.
