Decreased slaughterings of cattle in January-November 2008

Slaughterings of cattle decreased with 6.7 % during January-November 2008 compared to the same period in 2007 and slaughterings of pigs increased with 0.1 % during the same period.

The quantity of milk delevered to dairies decreased with 1.5 % and production of drinking milk with 1.4 % compared with the same period the previous year. Production of milk powder increased with 6.8 % and production of cheese with 4.4 % during the same period.
