Decreased slaughterings of cattle in January-June 2010

Slaughterings of cattle decreased with 4.5 % during January-June 2010 compared to the same period in 2009 and slaughterings of pigs with 0.2 % during the same period. The slaughterings of chickens increased with 7.3 % during January-June 2010 compared to the same period in 2009.

The quantity of milk delivered to dairies decreased with 3.9 % and production of drinking milk increased with 1.1 % during January-June 2010 compared to the same period in 2009. Production of cream increased with 10.0 % and production of milk powder decreased with 28.0 % during the same period.
