Increased slaughterings of cattle in January-July 2009

Slaughterings of cattle increased with 9.3 % during January-July 2009 compared to the same period in 2008 and slaughterings of pigs decreased with 3.6 % during the same period. Slaughterings of chickens increased with 0,3 % during January-June 2009 compared with the same period in 2008.

The quantity of milk delevered to dairies increased with 0.2 % and production of drinking milk decreased with 3.0 % during January-July 2009. Production of cream increased with 4.7 % and production of butter with 18.1 % during the same period.
