Increased slaughterings of cattle in January–April 2013

Slaughterings of cattle increased by 5.9 % in January–April 2013 compared with January–April 2012 and slaughterings of pigs decreased by 2.2 % during the same period.

The quantity of milk delivered to dairies decreased by 1.3 % and production of drinking milk increased by 0.3 % in January–April 2013 compared with January–April 2012. Production of cream decreased by 7.8 % and production of butter  increased by 20.7 % during the same period.
