to increase
This report
contains statistics on organic farming areas, fully converted or under
conversion, in 2010. The information covers arable land and pasture and meadows.
Information on greenhouse cultivation is excluded. The total
converted areas and the areas under conversion in 2010 have been estimated to
almost 439 000 hectares or 14.2 % of the total utilised agricultural
area in Sweden. This is an increase by 14 % compared with 2009. The fully
converted areas are estimated to 329 500 hectares or 10.7 % of the
total agricultural area in Sweden, an increase by almost 8.8 % compared
with 2009. The fully converted areas in 2010 consisted of 253 500 hectares
of arable land and 76 000 hectares of pasture and meadow. List of tables
