The total area of arable land in the year 2015 is
2 586 00 hectares, according to preliminary statistics. That is a
decrease by 10 600 hectares (‑0.4 %) compared with 2014. The total area of pasture and meadow is 442 300
hectares in 2015, according to preliminary statistics. That is an increase by 6 600
hectares (+2 %). The area of cereals is increasing
The total
area of cereals is 1 040 800 hectares in 2015, according to
preliminary statistics. That is an increase by 6 500 hectares (+1 %) compared with 2014. The areas of wheat and
oats increases by 5 300 hectares (+1 %) and 5 800 hectares (+4 %)
respectively compared with 2014. The area of barley decreases by 4 200
hectares (‑1 %) compared with 2014. The area of rape and
turnip rape is decreasing
The area of
rape and turnip rape is 94 600 hectares in 2015, according to preliminary
statistics. That is a decrease by 1 400 hectares (‑1 %) compared with 2014. The area of grass and
