expected to increase by 2 %. Total
harvest of cereals is expected to be about 5.4 million metric tonnes in 2016, a
decrease by 12 % compared with 2015. Output prices of cereals are expected
to increase slightly for the crop year 2016/2017 compared with 2015/2016. In
total, the value of cereal production is expected to decrease by 11 %
compared with the previous harvest year. Total
harvest of rape and turnip rape is expected to decrease by 25 % compared with
2015. Even though prices are expected to increase during the crop year
2016/2017, the total production value of oilseeds is estimated to decrease by
21 %. The
slaughter of cattle and pigs is expected to decrease slightly during 2016. At
the same time, prices are expected to increase. As a consequence, the value of
cattle and pigs is expected to increase by 10 and 6 % respectively. The value
of milk production is expected to decrease by almost 6 % during 2016. This
is explained by a decrease in prices by slightly more than 3 % combined
with a decrease in production. The output
of the agricultural industry at basic prices is expected to decrease by 2 % in
2016 compared with 2015. At the same time, the value of total intermediate consumption
is expected to decrease by almost 2.5 %. Factor
income is calculated as the sum of the production value and subsidies less
expenses of intermediate consumption and fixed capital consumption. Factor
income is expected to remain almost unchanged during 2016 due to increased
subsidies on production. Net entrepreneurial income is also expected to remain almost unchanged in
2016. List of tables
