The Farm
Economic Survey (JEU) is an annual book-keeping survey. The aim of the survey
is to illustrate the development of receipts and costs in agriculture. As a
member state of the EU, Sweden is obliged to deliver data to the Farm Accountancy
Data Network (FADN). A database containing data on 1 025 farms is
delivered annually to DG Agriculture at the EU Commission. The base of
the calculations is nominal result in agriculture at current cost. The current
cost for an asset is the replacement value reduced by depreciation. In data
management Statistics Sweden (SCB) cooperates with LRF Konsult and with local
agents all over the country. The data is subject to intensive control
processing both at the national level and at DG Agriculture. Results
The results
shown in the tables are based on Swedish typology and compare the receipts and
the costs in agriculture for the years 2011 and 2012. The results presented for
year 2012 are preliminary but are compared to 2011 year’s final data. The final
data for 2012 will be presented on February 18, 2014 The tables
indicate that the gross margin and the net profit decreased for the dairy farmers,
for beef cattle farmers and for the minor crop producers with 800-1599 working
hours while they increased for the bigger crop producers with 1600-3199 working
hours and for the pig farmers compared
with the previous year. List of tables
