The Farm
Economic Survey (JEU) is an annual book-keeping survey. The aim of the survey
is to illustrate the development of receipts and costs in agriculture. As a
member state of the EU, Sweden is obliged to deliver data to the Farm
Accountancy Data Network (FADN). A database containing data on 1 025 farms
is delivered annually to DG Agriculture at the EU Commission. In data
management Statistics Sweden (SCB) cooperates with LRF Konsult and with their
local agents all over the country. The data is subject to intensive editing
both at the national level and at DG Agriculture. Results
The results
shown in the tables are based on Swedish typology and compare the receipts and
the costs in agriculture for the years 2014 and 2015. The results presented for
year 2015 are preliminary but are compared with 2014 year’s final data. The
final data for 2015 will be presented in February 2017. The gross and net margins for
smaller crop farmers (800–1 599 standard hours) in major region 1 is
estimated at 322 000 and 176 000 SEK. The gross and net margins for
larger crop farmers (1 600–3 199 standard hours) in major region 1 was
estimated at 910 000 and 460 000 SEK. For dairy farmers, the net
margin increased in the group with more than 5 600 standard hours and is estimated at
960 000 SEK. For
cattle farmers, the gross and net margins are estimated at 280 000 and
190 000 SEK. For pig farmers, the gross and net
margins are estimated at 890 000 and 590 000 SEK. List of tables
