Summary Summary
The production value
decreased in 2005
The
production value in basic prises increased between 2000 and 2004, but entered a
decrease between 2004 and 2005. The decrease between 2004 and 2005 was 11
percent, but can to a large extent be explained by the introduction of the
single farm payment. The production value in producer prices decreased by
roughly 2 percent between 2004 and 2005. Crop output
in basic prices decreased by 19 percent, which was due to the introduction of
the single farm payment in 2005. Crop output in producer prices were unchanged
compared to 2004. The production of cereals were eight percent lower compared
to 2004, which to a large extent can be explained by that the area decreased by
nine percent. The prices of cereals increased during 2005. The production value
at producer prices for cereals was about the same as it was in 2005. The total
harvest of oil seeds decreased by 13 percent compared to 2004. The decrease was
mostly due to that the yield per hectare decreased in 2005. In 2004, the yield
per hectare was high. The prices for oil seeds increased a little, but he
production value in producer prices decreased by roughly 15 percent. The
harvest and the area of potatoes decreased somewhat, while the prices increased
somewhat compared to 2004. The
production value in basic prices for animal output decreased by slightly more
than six percent compared to 2004. The production value in producer prices
decreased by about three percent. The most important cause was a decrease in
the production of milk and eggs while the prices fell. The volume of slaughter
decreased slightly and the prices increased slightly in 2005. The production
value was about the same as it was in 2004. The operating
surplus decreased by about four percent in 2005 compared to 2004. An increase
in the fixed capital consumption in combination with a decrease in the
