The
investments of the agriculture sector in machinery and equipment has been
estimated to 4 532 million SEK during 2003. This is an increase with 509
million SEK or 12 percent in current prices, compared with 2000 which was the
latest year a total investment survey was made.
For some
groups of equipment investments (based on the total sale) increased compared
with 2000. For example the combine harvesters increased with 14 percent and
equipment for mowing and mowingconditioners increased with 21 percent
compared with 2000. Stable equipment for stables increased with 9 percent.
The sales
of tractors decreased with 6 percent compared with 2000. The average capacity
in h.p. 2003 was 99 h.p. compared with 76 h.p. in 2000.
In
constant prices the investments increased with less than half a percent
between 2000 and 2003.
