Price Indices and Prices in the Food Sector – Annual and Monthly Statistics – 2012:12

Agricultural Input Price Index has increased by 2.6 % between December 2011 and December 2012. Prices for Goods and services currently consumed in agriculture have increased by 2.4 % and prices for Goods and services contributing to agricultural investments have increased by 3.7 %. The highest increase was found in prices for Animal feeding stuffs (+15.3 %) followed by Materials (+4.5 %).

Output Price Index has increased by 4.3 % between December 2011 and December 2012. The Index for Crop output has increased by 10.6 % and the index for Animal output is at the same level as December last year. Higher prices for Potatoes (+49.7 %) and Cereals (+20.7 %) is the main reason for the increase for crops. In Animal output Milk has decreased by -3.5 % while prices for Pigs has increased by 4.1 %.

 “Price Index for the Food Industry,  food from price regulated agricultural products” (PPI-J) increased by 2.3 % between December 2011 and December 2012. Crop products has increased by 2.2 % and Animal products have increased by 2.3 %.

 

“Consumer Price Index, food from price regulated agricultural products”

(CPI-J) has increased by 1.6 % between December 2011 and December 2012. Total Consumer Price Index (CPI) has decreased by -0.1 % during the same period.
