Price Indices and Prices
in the Food Sector – Annual and Monthly Statistics – 2013:01

Input Price Index has increased by 2.8 % between January 2012 and January
2013. Prices for Goods and services currently consumed in agriculture have
increased by 2.6 % and prices for Goods and services contributing to
agricultural investments have increased by 3.4 %. The highest increase was
found in prices for Animal feeding stuffs (+16.8 %) followed by Materials (+4.2 %).
Output
Price Index has increased by 4.5 % between January 2012 and January 2013.
The Index for Crop output has increased by 9.9 % and the index for Animal
output has increased by 0.7 %. Higher prices for Potatoes (+51.5 %) and Cereals
(+14.5 %) is the main reason for the increase for crops. In Animal output Sheep
and goats, for example, has increased by 16.2 % while Cattle has decreased by
6.0 %. “Price Index for the
Food Industry, food from price regulated
agricultural products” (PPI-J) increased by 2.6 % between January 2012
and January 2013. Crop products has increased by 1.0
% and Animal products have increased by 3.5 %. “Consumer Price Index, food from price regulated agricultural products” (CPI-J)
has increased by 2.3 % between January 2012 and January 2013. Total Consumer
Price Index (CPI) is at the same level in January 2013 as last year. List of tables
