Price
indices and prices in the food sector – Annual and monthly statistics – 2019:04

“Hela publikationen (PDF)”. Agricultural input price index Agricultural input price index increased by 8.6 % between April 2018 and
April 2019. Prices for Goods and services currently consumed in agriculture increased
by 10.3 %. Prices for Goods contributing to agricultural investments increased by
3.1 %. Animal feedingstuffs (+16.0 %) had the largest price increase in
the Input price index. According to yearly figures for 2018, Input price index increased
by 7.0 % compared with 2017. Agricultural output price index Agricultural output price index increased by 14.7 % between April 2018
and April 2019. Index for Crop output increased by 24.4 %. The highest increase was
found in prices for Forage plants (+49.3 %) followed by Potatoes (+40.9 %), Cereals
(+21.5 %), Vegetables (+10.1 %), Horticultural products (+10.0 %) and Industrial
crops (+7.9 %) . The only product group where prices decreased during the
period was Fruits and berries (-26.1 %). Index for Animal output increased by 6.2 %. The product group Milk, eggs
and other animal products increased by 7.6 % between April 2018 and April 2019.
The product group Animals increased by 4.8 % during the same period. According
to yearly figures for 2018, Output price index increased by 10.1 % compared with 2017. Indices later in
the food chain Price
index for the food industry, food from price regulated agricultural products increased by 4.2 %
between April 2018 and April 2019. Crop products increased
by 8.2 % and Animal products increased by 2.6 %. According to yearly
figures for 2018, Price index for the food industry,
food from price regulated agricultural products, increased by 1.7 %
compared with 2017. Consumer Price Index, food from price regulated
agricultural products increased by 2.7 % between April 2018 and April 2019. Crop products increased by 4.8 % and Animal products
increased by 1.6 %. Total Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.1 % between April 2018 and April 2019. According to yearly figures for 2018, Consumer
Price Index, food from price regulated agricultural products, increased
by 2.5 % compared with 2017. Consumer Price Index, food from price regulated
agricultural products, increased by 5.0 % between 2015 and 2018. Total
Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 4.8 % during the same period. Agricultural input price index for the EU market In 2018 compared with 2017, Agricultural input price index increased the most in Sweden
(+7.0 %) followed by the United Kingdom (+6.3 %), Romania (+5.6 %) and
Hungary (+4.8 %). The only countries where input price index decreased were
Cyprus (-2.0 %) and Lithuania (-0.5 %). Comparing the fourth quarter of 2018 with the fourth quarter of 2017, Agricultural input
price index increased the most in Sweden (+10.6 %) followed by the United
Kingdom (+8.5 %) and Hungary (+7.2 %). The only country where input price index
decreased was Lithuania (-1.6 %). Agricultural input price index for EU-28 as a whole, cannot yet be presented
due to the fact that certain countries still have not completed their work with
the shift from base year 2010=100 to base year 2015=100. Agricultural output
price index for the EU market In 2018 compared with 2017, Agricultural output price index increased the most
in Sweden (+10.2 %) followed by Belgium (+7.6 %), Latvia (+6.6 %) and
Romania (+6.0 %). The country where output price index decreased the most was Denmark
(-6.1%). Comparing the fourth quarter of 2018 with the fourth quarter of 2017, Agricultural output
price index increased the most in Belgium (+19.7 %) followed by Sweden (+11.6
%), Latvia (+11.5 %), Malta (+9.2 %), Romania (+8.7 %), and Lithuania
(+8.1 %). The countries where output price index decreased the most were Slovenia
(-6.6 %), Croatia (-6.6 %) and Austria (-4.1 %). Agricultural output price index for EU-28 as a whole, cannot yet be presented due to
the fact that certain countries still have not completed their work with the
shift from base year 2010=100 to base year 2015=100. List of tables
