Price
indices and prices in the food sector – Annual and monthly statistics – 2019:09

“Hela publikationen (PDF)”. Agricultural input price index Agricultural input price index decreased by 2.8 % between September 2018
and September 2019. Prices for Goods and services currently consumed in
agriculture decreased by 4.4 %. Prices for Goods contributing to agricultural
investments increased by 2.9 %. Animal feedingstuffs (-13.4 %) had
the largest price decrease in the Input price index. According to yearly
figures for 2018, Input price index increased by 7.0 % compared with 2017. Agricultural output price index Agricultural output price index decreased by 11.3 % between September
2018 and September 2019. Index for Crop output decreased by 23.4 %. The highest decrease was
found in prices for Cereals (-37.2 %). Other product groups where prices
decreased were Forage plants (-32.6 %), Vegetables (-19.7 %) and Potatoes
(-17.4 %). Product groups where prices increased during the period were Horticultural
products (+20.5 %), Fruits and berries (+8.3 %) and Industrial crops (+4.9 %). Index for Animal output increased by 1.5 %. The product group Animals
increased by 2.2 %. The product group Milk, eggs and other animal products increased
by 0.9 % during the same period. According to yearly figures for 2018, Output price
index increased by 11.1 % compared with 2017. Indices later in
the food chain Price
index for the food industry, food from price regulated agricultural products increased by 3.4 %
between September 2018 and September 2019. Crop
products decreased by 0.2 % and Animal products increased by 5.1 %.
According to yearly figures for 2018, Price index for
the food industry, food from price regulated agricultural products, increased
by 1.7 % compared with 2017. Consumer Price Index, food from price regulated
agricultural products increased by 3.4 % between September 2018 and September 2019. Crop products increased by 4.8 % and Animal products
increased by 2.7 %. Total Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1.5 % between September 2018 and September 2019. According to yearly figures for 2018, Consumer
Price Index, food from price regulated agricultural products, increased
by 2.5 % compared with 2017. Total Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.0
% during the same period. Consumer Price Index, food from price regulated
agricultural products, increased by 5.0 % between 2015 and 2018. Total
Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 4.8 % during the same period. Agricultural input price index for the EU market According to yearly figures for 2018, Agricultural input price index for
EU-28 increased by 3.8 % compared with 2017. During the same period,
Agricultural input price index increased the most in Sweden (+6.9 %) followed
by the United Kingdom (+6.3 %), Romania (+5.6 %) and Slovakia (+5.4 %). The
only countries where input price index decreased were Cyprus (-2.1 %) and Lithuania
(-0.5 %). Comparing the second quarter of 2019 with the second quarter of 2018, Agricultural input
price index increased the most in Sweden (+7.9 %) followed by Hungary (+5.2 %),
the United Kingdom (+4.7 %) and Poland (+4.5 %). The only country where input
price index decreased was Lithuania (-5.5 %). Due to the fact that one member
state not yet has presented figures for the second quarter of 2019,
Agricultural input price index for EU-28 is not available for this quarter. Agricultural output
price index for the EU market According to yearly figures for 2018, Agricultural output price index
for EU-28 increased by 1.0 % compared with 2017. During the same period,
Agricultural output price index increased the most in Sweden (+11.1 %) followed by Belgium
(+7.6 %), Romania (+6.0 %) and Latvia (+6.0 %). The countries where output
price index decreased the most were Denmark (-6.1 %) and Slovakia (‑5.4
%). Comparing the second quarter of 2019 with the second quarter of 2018, Agricultural output
price index increased the most in Latvia (+14.6 %) followed by Sweden (+14.1
%), Romania (+12.5 %), Czechia (+11.1 %), Malta (+10.7 %) and Denmark (+10.6 %).
The countries where output price index decreased the most were Croatia (-1.6 %)
and Italy (-0.8 %). Due to the fact that one member state not yet has presented
figures for the second quarter of 2019, Agricultural output price index for
EU-28 is not available for this quarter. List of tables
