This report
contains standard yields for yield survey districts, counties, production
areas and the whole country referring to the 2009 cultivation season. The
standard yields are based on yield data from conventional and organic farming
according to the Swedish crop survey and for data on yields of sugar beets from
Nordic Sugar. Standard
yields are calculated every year for cereals, peas, potatoes, oilseed crops and
sugar beets. The standard yield is an estimate of the yield that can be expected
if the weather and other conditions that influence the crops are normal. For
temporary grasses there are no complete time series of yield data that can be
used as a basis for calculating standard yields. In its place a five year mean
is presented. Conventional
yields per hectare are calculated as five year means for cereals, peas, oilseed
crops and temporary grasses. A dash (-) in the tables means that
basic data (number of observations) is not sufficient to calculate standard
