In EnglishSummaryThis report
provides forecasts for 2005 concerning the yields per hectare and total production
of cereals and oilseed crops. The results are presented for all of Sweden. Yield
According
to the forecast the yields per hectare of cereals are expected to be between
6 % lower and 8 % higher than the yields for 2004. Compared to the
average yields for the last five years the yield per hectare for the majority
of cereals is expected to be up to 8 % higher. For oilseed
crops the forecasts of the yields per hectare are lower than the yield per
hectare last year. Compared with the average yield for the last five years the
yields are expected to be lower. Total productionThe
forecast of the total production of cereals is 5,1 million tons for 2005, which
is lower than both for 2004 and the average for the years 2000-2004. The main
reason for this lower production is that the crop areas are less than before.
The only products that do not has lower procuction than last year are spring
wheat and spring barley. The total
production of oilseeds is expected to be almost 18 % lower than 2004 due
to less yield. Compared to the average production for the last five years
the production for 2005 is expected to be 26 % higher. During the last two
years there has been a significantly increase in areas with oilseeds. List of tablesList of terms
