Summary
Animal Products - Annual and monthly statistics – 2016:01 If you

slaughterings in January 2016 compared with January 2015 The quantity of milk delivered to dairies in January
2016 was 245 700 tons, 6 600 tons less than January 2015. Figure A
shows the quantity of milk delivered to dairies month by month from 2013 to January
2016. The production of drinking milk was in January 70 700 tons, which is
800 ton more than in January 2015. Cream production was in January 10 200
tons. It is 1 200 tons more than January 2015. In January 2016 slaughtered nearly 29 400 adult
cattle and nearly 1 400 calves. The total weight of the slaughtered cattle
was more than 9 600 tons, which is less than the same month in the last
three years. This can be seen in Figure B. The slaughter of pigs is also less
than the same month in the last three years. In January 2016 there were
slaughtered 204 400 pigs, representing a weight of 19 100 tons. Figures
B and C show how the slaughter of cattle and pigs has developed since the year
2013. The total slaughter of sheep, rams and lambs in January 2016 was 250 tons,
a decrease by 70 tons compared with January 2015. Figures D show how the total
slaughter of sheep, rams and lambs has developed since the year 2013. The poultry
slaughtered in January 2016, which include chickens, hens and turkeys, weighed 11 200
tons. 95 % of the weight was from chickens. Figure E shows the total
slaughter of poultry on a monthly basis for 2015 and 2016. Data about eggs delivered to wholesalers from The
Swedish Egg and Poultry Associations members in January 2016 are not available
at the time for this publications, which means than Table 5 is not updated. The
