Summary
Animal Products - Annual and monthly statistics – 2016:10 If you

indicate more calves are spared to be slaughtered as adults instead 224 600 tonnes of milk were delivered to dairies
in October 2016. Figure A shows how these quantities have varied from 2013 till
October 2016. The production of drinking milk was 69 200 tonnes in October
2016, somewhat less than in October 2015. Compared with this point in 2015,
yearly butter production has risen 6 % while milk powder production has
shrunk 10 %. See Table 2 for more details. In total, more than 34 600 adult cattle and
1 400 calves were slaughtered in More than 12 300 tonnes of poultry were
slaughtered in October 2016. The egg delivery statistics for August 2016 were not
yet available at the date of publication. They will be published in the Swedish
